Product Manager - Retail, Financing & e-Invoicing

We are looking for an effective, forward-thinking Product Manager in Retail Technology to help deliver projects in the Financing and e-Invoicing space. In this role, you will be embedded with one of our key global clients, working on-site in Cupertino, CA with their Retail Technology organization. This group powers the tools and systems used across thousands of retail stores worldwide, transforming how employees engage with customers and deliver exceptional service.  

You’ll be part of a diverse and supportive team, collaborating with Engineering, Merchandising, Operations, Online, and Marketing to bring our client’s vision of world-class retail to life.
 

Key Responsibilites: 

  • Solution Design & Delivery: Drive the design of systems and platforms supporting large, cross-functional business initiatives, ensuring alignment with both business objectives and technical capabilities. 

  • Stakeholder Advocacy: Represent the needs and priorities of both business and technology stakeholders throughout the lifecycle of new systems and solutions. 

  • Program Execution: Oversee coordination of funding, release schedules, resource alignment, issue resolution, and adherence to quality standards. 

  • Collaboration & Leadership: Partner with client business and engineering teams to mobilize initiatives, lead design reviews, prioritize features, and negotiate trade-offs to meet delivery timelines. 

  • Roadmap Development: Define and maintain product roadmaps for systems or portfolios of systems that underpin critical business operations. 

 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Experience working with engineering teams to develop tools and technology that align with business and customer experience goals. 

  • Expertise writing detailed business requirements and user stories intended for software engineering and UI/UX design. 

  • Experience planning, managing, and leading sophisticated technology projects, guiding teams through ambiguity and issue resolution throughout the entire development lifecycle.  

  • Excellent meeting facilitation, and strong written, verbal, and presentation abilities, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to business stakeholders.  

  • Deep experience with Agile development methodologies; proficiency in using JIRA/Confluence to manage a backlog, prioritize work into Epics and User Stories, and write clear Acceptance Criteria is essential. 

  • 5+ years of product or technology management experience, preferably with consumer products, retails, consulting, or SaaS.

Nice to have: 

  • Experience with consumer financing, e-invoicing, and compliance initiatives. 

  • Background in delivering global enterprise level employee and consumer-facing mobile and web applications. 

  • Experience planning and leading software release cycles, including feature prioritization, cross-platform coordination, user testing, and communication with partners on roadmaps, delivery status, and change management details.
