We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead multiple client engagements and engineering teams while driving operational excellence, business growth, and people development. This role goes beyond delivery management — it requires someone who can build trusted client relationships, shape organizational structures, develop future leaders, and identify new opportunities that expand our impact. 

The ideal candidate combines strong leadership skills, business awareness, technical understanding, and a forward-looking mindset around AI and modern software engineering practices. 

You will play a key role in ensuring successful delivery across multiple accounts while helping shape the future of engineering within HTEC. 


Responsibilities 

Delivery & Account Leadership

  • Lead multiple client accounts and engineering engagements simultaneously. 

  • Establish scalable team structures and operating models aligned with client and business needs. 

  • Ensure delivery predictability, execution quality, and sustainable team performance. 

  • Drive effective governance practices, delivery metrics, and operational transparency. 

  • Remove organizational and delivery bottlenecks across teams and stakeholders. 

  • Act as an escalation point for complex delivery and organizational challenges. 


Client Relationship Management 

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with client stakeholders and leadership teams. 

  • Develop a deep understanding of client business goals, challenges, and priorities. 

  • Serve as a trusted advisor capable of connecting engineering execution with business outcomes. 

  • Drive executive-level communication and confidently lead strategic conversations. 

  • Ensure high client satisfaction and long-term partnership growth. 


People Leadership 

  • Lead, coach, and mentor engineering leaders and team members. 

  • Identify and grow future leaders within the organization. 

  • Support career development, performance management, and succession planning. 

  • Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, learning, and collaboration. 

  • Build high-performing and resilient teams. 

 

Financial & Business Ownership

  • Own and manage financial aspects of engagements including utilization, profitability, margins, forecasting, and staffing strategies. 

  • Monitor account health and proactively identify risks and optimization opportunities. 

  • Balance client value with sustainable business outcomes. 

  • Drive operational decisions using metrics and business insights. 


Growth & Opportunity Development

  • Detect expansion opportunities within existing and new accounts. 

  • Partner with sales and leadership teams to convert opportunities into real engagements. 

  • Support solution shaping, proposals, staffing strategy, and growth initiatives. 

  • Identify areas where HTEC can provide additional value through technology and expertise. 


Technology & AI Leadership

  • Maintain a strong understanding of the modern technology landscape and industry trends. 

  • Understand evolving software delivery practices and emerging technologies. 

  • Recognize the transformational impact of AI on software engineering and business operations. 

  • Aggressively drive AI adoption across teams and engineering workflows. 

  • Promote AI-assisted development practices and identify practical opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and outcomes. 

  • Act as a change leader in shaping an AI-first engineering culture. 

 

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering organizations, with 2+ years in Engineering Management or similar leadership roles. 

  • Proven experience leading multiple accounts, client engagements, or complex programs simultaneously. 

  • Demonstrated success building team structures, leading distributed teams, and developing future leaders. 

  • Experience managing account financials, delivery performance, and business metrics. 

  • Strong client and stakeholder management skills with the ability to build trusted relationships and lead executive conversations. 

  • Strong understanding of modern software engineering practices, technology ecosystems, cloud platforms, and AI trends. 

  • Proven ability to identify growth opportunities and convert them into tangible business outcomes. 

  • Strong ownership mindset with excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills. 

  • Experience in consulting or software services environments is considered a strong advantage.
